Wellbeing hub - Sloth Session

When we rest together with other people, we tune in to an ancient frequency of being part of a small group of other humans. Our nervous systems co-regulate and we experience a kind of rest that is entirely unique. We can drift off and daydream...not in order to 'be productive', not in order to be anything! Simply because it is natural for us to be this way with each other, yet our lives typically allow us very little opportunity to collectively rest.

In this autumn session, you will be gently led through some simple, accessible movement (which can be done seated or standing), to release tension from your body. There will then be a guided relaxation and soundscape, inviting you into a period of rest. Following this, we will integrate all that is nourishing about this practice into our bodies and minds, then come together for some informal chat and sharing.

Led by writer/artist and wellbeing practitioner Ruby Lawrence, whose website can be found here https://rubylawrencewriter.wordpress.com/

Please bring a favourite cushion or pillow with you. Blankets, yoga mats and more cushions will be provided.
