Cow parsley may look innocent with its frothy white flowers, but it’s a bit too pushy for our liking. Left unchecked, it crowds out other wild plants and reduces biodiversity. By weeding it out, you’ll help native wildflowers reclaim their rightful place in the ecosystem.
Whether you’re a seasoned conservationist or a first-time weeder, your help makes a big difference. No experience needed. Join this Community Volunteering Task on Saturday 9th August to meet fellow wildflower enthusiasts and share the satisfaction of making a difference. Whilst taking part you can enjoy watching the local wildlife from Kestrels and kites to kingfishers along the canal, there’s much to see in Stanton Low Park.
Meeting location is near the canal in Stanton Low Park, What3Words location dragon.snowy.firewall. Look out for the large purple Parks Trust flag.
Car parking is available in the car park off Newport Road, What3Words location lamppost.corded.rots which is a 5 min walk through the park to the meeting location. Parking is also available on nearby roads, please park your car considerately. We would recommend walking to the event where possible.
