We look forward to hearing Harry Brown on Wednesday 30 July at his next Organ Recital organised as part of the Free Live Music Series at Carlisle Cathedral.

This event is free to enter; there will be a retiring collection at the end of the concert - please give what you can to support the artist and the Cathedral.

About the artist:

Harry Brown began organ lessons in 2019 with Dr Robin Harrison. During this time, he was the Organ Scholar at Yarm Parish Church and organist at Kirklevington Parish Church.

Following this, Harry was awarded the Organ Scholarship of Carlisle Cathedral, a position he held for two years. His main role here was accompanying the Cathedral Choir and the Cathedral Consort in their daily services. Harry also assisted with the training of the choristers and managed the Cathedral Music Library. During this time, he received organ tuition from the Cathedral’s Assistant Organist Edward Taylor.

Harry has just finished his first year at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Here he is studying for a Bmus in organ performance under the tutelage of Daniel Moult and Nicholas Wearne, as well as receiving regular tuition from visiting tutors Erwan le Prado and Nathan Laube. Alongside his studies, Harry serves as Senior Organ Scholar at St Alphege Parish Church, Solihull as well as returning regularly to his hometown of Yarm to accompany services.
