Welcome to Rock on the Rails: Art & Craft of Railway Masonry with Tom W. Parkin! Join us at the Revelstoke Railway Museum for a 60 minute visual presentation exploring drystone walls, stone arches, and construction-era rock ovens - elements of railway masonry that are rarely studied yet rich with historical significance. Developed from five years of original field research this program gas been invited to the international Real Rails 2025 conference.

Tom grew up in Revelstoke in a CPR family. He is widely recognized for his railway research , award winning articles, and engaging public presentations - including features in all of Canada's Leading rail magazines. His work has received national writing awards four times (see: https://tomwparkin.com/publications).
