🫁 Breathing Into Heart

Join me at Whanganui Yoga Centre where I will take you through breathwork that will open your heart space.
Himalayan breathwork is a mindful practice rooted in ancient traditions, enriched by the serene energy of the Himalayan mountains.
It emphasizes conscious, deep breathing techniques that foster relaxation, clarity, and emotional balance. By intentionally engaging the respiratory system, this practice helps activate the parasympathetic nervous system—the body's natural relaxation response—reducing stress, anxiety, and depressive feelings.
From a scientific perspective, breath is the foundation of life; it supplies oxygen necessary for cellular function and removes carbon dioxide, a waste product. Proper breathing not only sustains physical health but also influences mental and emotional well-being. Techniques like those in Himalayan breathwork encourage mindful awareness of breath, supporting the regulation of the nervous system and promoting a sense of calm and centeredness.
As you breathe deeply and mindfully, you create a bridge between body and mind, fostering inner harmony. This practice, complemented by healing sounds at the end, allows you to bathe in tranquility, releasing tension and inviting a profound sense of peace.
Lauren has learnt breathwork through the teachers who passed down learnings rooted from the Himalayas.

When crystal singing bowls are played, the sound waves it produces can resonate with the crystalline structure of the water, potentially enhancing its vibrational energy. Placing water inside or near a crystal singing bowl during a sound healing session may help to "charge" the water with specific frequencies that align with the practitioner’s intentions.
