Sacrament of the Sick

The Sacrament of the sick will be offered at all Masses the second weekend of the month. Through this sacrament, people receive forgiveness for their sins and comfort in their suffering; they are restored in spirit; and sometimes they even experience the return of physical health. But even if there is no physical healing, the primary effect of the sacrament is a spiritual healing by which the sick person receives the Holy Spirit's gift of peace and courage to deal with the difficulties that accompany serious illness or the frailty of old age. As a community we can join in prayer for those who are receiving the sacrament. The Sacrament of the Sick will now be offered the second week of each month.
