⭐️ GBCT will be hosting auditions for our first full production of our 2025-2026 season, "Now and Then" by Sean Grennan, directed by Dave Zochert on August 4 and 5 from 6:30pm-8:30pm at the Robert Lee Brault Playhouse.

🕰️ SYNOPSIS:
It is 1981, and Jamie is closing up the bar, when an older man named Jimmy begs to stay for a little while, with no real explanation why. They then begin talking about life, destiny, and dreams, and are soon joined by Jamie’s girlfriend, Abby. Then Jimmy reveals the unbelievable truth about where he’s from and why he’s there...

From the same author as The Tin Woman, this thought-provoking story explores living with the costs of our decisions, regrets of “what-if”, and the real value of love. It begs to answer the question: If you had the ability to go back to change anything in your past, what would you do? (Drama, Comedy, Romance)

✨ CHARACTERS:
(Ages and descriptions for all characters are flexible. The director will cast whoever is best suited for the role.)

Jamie (20s-30s): Bartender and aspiring pianist. Attractive in a regular-guy way. Sincere, hardworking, very much in love with Abby.

Man (60s): A bit beaten down but good-natured. Easy to talk to, well-spoken, sincere, and very intent on his mission tonight. Husband of 35 years to Woman. He is desperate.

Abby (20s-30s): IHOP waitress and one-time English major. Funny, smart, and very much in love with Jamie.

Woman (50s-60s): Strong, direct, loving, a little coarse. She is Man's wife of 35 years. No one knows her like he does and no one knows him like she. She and Man bicker but there is a bedrock of love there. They'd do anything for each other and no one can hurt either of them like the other one can.
