Chicago-based, Ohio Born songwriter Nick Wilkinson is reuniting with the Featured Players after 8 years for a special one night performance at Jilly's Music Room, August 22, 2025.
Wilkinson draws from his rural upbringing to deliver unapologetically on wanderlust and love. Wilkinson is known for his high energy and engaging performance that has been known as “theater rock” in some circles and Out of the Blue called them: “A touch of Cash fused with early 90’s Barenaked Ladies style rock.” He has become a figure in community and in craft, being nominated for multiple songwriting awards and cultivating a community around his Chicago open mic, Taproom Open Mic.
The songwriter’s latest release is a collaboration with Telethon (Milwaukee) and Steven Page (formerly of the Barenaked Ladies) called “My Sister is Bigfoot” which is available for donation from “Weird Saturday”. He’s also released the first in a series of live recordings handpicked and mixed by the band which is available on all major streaming services.
