Perseids Meteor Shower Watch Party at Siskiyou Field Institute

💫 Join us for a magical night under the stars! 💫
The Perseids Meteor Shower Watch Party returns to SFI on August 16th—one of the best nights of the year to witness up to 110 meteors per hour.

The Perseids are one of the most prolific and beloved meteor showers. These brilliant streaks of light are actually debris from the comet Swift–Tuttle, which leaves behind a trail of particles during its 133-year orbit. The meteors appear to radiate from the constellation Perseus, giving the shower its name.

SFI's unique visibility of the night sky and lack of light pollution makes it an ideal place to view this stellar phenomenon. ☄️
