Vocal Recital featuring Jayda Hunter

Jayda is a college student at South Dakota State University, entering her sophomore year, where she studies music education with a vocal emphasis. Throughout high school and college, she has had numerous performances, including SDMTA and NATS, singing classical music as a soprano, and has performed in an opera at SDSU. Upon graduation, Jayda plans to stay in South Dakota to teach music. Speaking of her upcoming vocal recital at the Homestake Opera House, she stated, "I loved singing in the Black Hills throughout high school, and wanted to do this performance so that I could perform for the community, as well as friends and family who could not watch my performances across the state. Singing and music have always been one of the most important parts of my life, as well as community and togetherness, so I am very excited for this performance!"
