The first Men’s Senior Team fixture at Everton's new Hill Dickinson Stadium has become a historic double-header, with confirmation that a Legends game will follow the pre-season meeting between the Blues and Italian giants AS Roma on Saturday 9 August.
On a landmark day of celebration at the Club's new waterfront home, David Moyes' team will take on Serie A counterparts Roma in their final Premier League warm-up fixture (kick-off 3pm BST), before the Legends dust off their boots to mark the opening of the 52,769-capacity stadium (kick-off 5.15pm BST).
Former Everton captain Phil Jagielka and Vincent Candela, a stalwart for Roma and the France national team, are the first two names to be confirmed for what promises to be a compelling Legends clash. The full star-studded line-ups – and special-guest managers for both sides – will be announced in the coming weeks.
Tickets for the pre-season friendly against Roma, which will give supporters entry to both matches, are set to go on sale to Season Ticket Members from 10am on Monday (30 June), priced at £25 for Adults, £20 for Over-65s and £10 for Under-18s.
Forever Blue+ Members will be able to purchase from 10am on Monday 7 July for the same price, with the priority window for Forever Blue Members to open 48 hours later, on Wednesday 9 July. A general sale will begin on Thursday 10 July, with tickets priced at £30 for Adults, £25 for Over-65s and still just £10 for Under-18s*.
