About Call of Cthulhu 7e RPG

Call of Cthulhu is an investigative, horror game created by Sandy Petersen in 1981 and is published by Chaosium. In this game, you take on the role of investigators who may be exposed to any number of sanity-breaking entities, cultists, and monsters, in the attempt to find your way out of whatever mystery you were unwittingly dragged into. Do you dare to test your mettle and see if you can make it to the other side with your wits intact? If so, I look forward to seeing you soon!

Scenario Background

As consciousness slowly stirs within you your mind wades through a thick fog, senses murky and fragmented. An odd, distant ringing fills your ears - a mechanical wail - growing louder, sharper, until you realize it's an alarm blaring somewhere in the depths of Oakwood Springs.

Your vision adjusts in the dim light of the hallway. You're standing on cold, hard tiles, the surface damp beneath our bare feet. A trail of wet footprints weaves through the corridor, where other patients stand, their faces confused and distant.

The sanitarium's once-quiet corridors have transformed into a scene of discord and confusion. You hear the rushed footsteps of night orderlies - figures in dark uniforms darting between the crowd, shouting commands over the alarm's ceaseless drone. "Back to your rooms!" one of them snaps, their voice sharp and edged with fear. "Everyone back, now!"

The staff's faces are pale, tense, and their eyes darting between the patients, windows, and each other. The orderlies seem unsettled by something more that the mere fact of patients out of bed. One orderly meets your gaze briefly, and in his eyes, you see a flicker of genuine fear.
