Southern NCC Wastewater Expansion Update Meeting

Join us for an important public information session to learn about the latest updates on the Southern New Castle County Wastewater Expansion Project. This session builds on the discussions from our November 2024 meeting and will provide new details and address public questions raised at that time.

Topics will include:

💧 Update on the Water Farm treatment and disposal expansion

🔄 A walkthrough of the Water Farm treatment process

For decades, New Castle County has planned for expanded wastewater infrastructure to meet the needs of our growing community. Current work includes installation of a force main to the WestWing site and planning for expanded spray irrigation fields on County-owned land near Marl Pit Road—or alternatively, a Delaware River outfall. Long-term plans also involve expanding the treatment capacity at Water Farm I, located east of Odessa.

Representatives from the New Castle County Department of Public Works will be on hand to present project details, answer your questions, and gather feedback from the community.
