Acrylic Dutch Pour Method – This is a beginner course for people who would like to learn the Dutch method of acrylic paint pouring, and have fun creating amazing artwork.

Acrylic Paint Pouring is a fluid painting technique used to create art by pouring acrylic paint onto a canvas. Many methods can be used to apply the paint to the canvas, some are more simple and are better for beginners – others are a bit more technical!

Here, we cover the basics of Dutch pouring to get you off to a head start. The Dutch Method is an acrylic pouring technique that uses air to manipulate the paints on a canvas. You can use a hairdryer, straw and lungs, or anything that blows air. Dutch pours are known for the ribbon like edges and cell lacing that can be achieved using this technique.

Depending on how the paint is layered and blown out will affect the end result. As with any form of art, it’s a lot of practice, messes and fun!

You will create an acrylic pour on a canvas of approximately 30cm x 30cm x 1cm to take home and hang on the wall.
