Mercy Home Fundraiser at Nik and Ivy

I am running the 2025 Chicago Marathon in support of Mercy Home. I was training for the marathon last year when I was shut down in August after being told I would need heart surgery to replace my aortic valve. On November 18th, I had open heart surgery. I am working my way back now and will be ready for 26.2 miles in October.
Come drink with me at Nik and Ivy on August 28th. A portion of the sales from 6pm to 10pm will be donated to Mercy Home through my fundraising page. If you can't stay to drink, get a four-pack to take home. If you don't drink, they have non-alcoholic options, so come hang out with us.
The adversity I have had to overcome to get back to marathon running pales in comparison to what the kids at Mercy Home have had to overcome in their lives. Please come out and help support the cause. You will also be supporting a small business owner who is very generous in giving back to the community. Paul is a great guy, and he brews some fantastic beer.
