DC Sunday Class and Jam

Gather with us Sunday afternoon to explore contact improvisation. Cost is $14 to $17 for drop-in rate - see Dance Place's adult class schedule. It's drop-in or you can pre-register at https://www.hisawyer.com/dance-place/schedules/activity-set/1099105 . (If you can't afford that, skip the front-desk registration and talk with us.)
Our sessions start with an hour contact improv class led by experienced teachers from our group. (On the first Sunday of the month the teacher instead describes and leads something called an Underscore for the full session.) The rest of the session is for open jamming, typically until a closing circle around 4:30. To participate in the class please be there before 2:00 - Dance Place check-in can take a few minutes.
The jam has been happening every Sunday for many years, and all are welcome. All that's necessary is a genuine interest to explore CI and willingness to be mindful of others and yourself. It's a rare opportunity for adults to play together for the sake of play - the game is Contact Improvisation, and the players are people curious about moving cooperatively through shared points of contact.
For details about the location, directions, background on the jam and CI, see our web page: https://www.dccontactimprov.net/the-sunday-jam.
We love our jam. Join us! (-:
