Join us for a reading of the Declaration of Independence. Come delve into the decisive document that shaped the country we know and love today!

Letβs fascinate ourselves with the firearms of the late 18th century. What did folks on the frontier use to hunt, provide, and protect themselves?
Patriots, Loyalists, and the Battle of Kings Mountain β 1pm
Join us for a telling of the most untold story of the entire Revolution. Tales from both sides will be told about THE turning point of the American Revolution!
Gunpowder: Experimental Explosives β 2pm
Join us as we explore and expand upon the explosives that ignited the Revolution. How did this crucial concoction keep the guns of liberty and freedom firing?

Letβs fascinate ourselves with the firearms of the late 18th century. What did folks on the frontier use to hunt, provide, and protect themselves?
Kids Programs Schedule
No Voice, No Choice! Taxation Game - 11am
A game that helps illustrate the frustrations of taxation faced by the American colonists.
Colonial Protest Poster-Making & Liberty Wall - 12pm
Arts and Crafts activity that demonstrates the importance of protest for the American colonists.
Boston Tea Party Reenactment - 1pm
Kids will have the opportunity to showcase productive civil disobedience by tossing some tea into the "Harbor."
Declaration of Independence Signing Ceremony - 2pm
A kid friendly reading of the Declaration of Independence followed by an optional signing and discussion.
Militia Drill & Marching - 3pm
Kids will get hands-on experience learning discipline, and the simple commands needed to serve in the militia.
Tavern Tours will be held throughout the day and are 30 minutes β 1 hour long.
Doors open at 11am, Tavern Tours are $5 β adult, $4.50 β seniors and veterans, and $1 for children 5-18. (cash or check only) Programs are free to the public!
In the event of inclement weather this event will be cancelled.
