In honor of the induction of the first Japanese player into the Hall of Fame, the Art Garage will present a wildly creative and fun show to feature all kinds of paintings, sculpture, assemblages, photography and works on paper by 14 amazing artists. All packed into two bays. A grid of colorful, limited-edition Japanese-woodcut-inspired works on paper, a monumental six foot bat, a samurai action figure atop a found baseball and a gorgeous, elegant textile that immortalizes the classic stance Ichiro Suzuki takes before playing, are just some of the treasures in the exhibition. Then there is the multi-media baseball card series , with Hall of Famers as cats. Many free programs forthcoming in August. Yes we can provide Japanese speakers with advance notice! The Art Garage is one mile from downtown Cooperstown on lovely bucolic Beaver Meadow Rd (689). Open Saturdays starting Ju8lu 19, 11-3, and very day of the week by reaching out: bGVhcnRnYXJhZ2UgfCBnbWFpbCAhIGNvbQ==, text/call 315-941-9607, or during Saturday hours call 607-547-5327.
