Calling all Tolkien fans and artists! We are hosting our 2nd annual Hobbit Day Celebration at the Swenson House. This is a free community event featuring arts & craft vendors, lawn games, a family adventure game through the gardens, free mini tour of the Swenson House, photo booth, costume contest, food trucks, music, games, and more!
We are also hosting an Art Contest with Shoebox Dioramas, 2D, and 3D art categories. Any Big Country resident, beginning at age six – can participate in the contest. More details are available on event page and our website at swensonhouse.com/hobbit.
For the Costume Contest, the categories will be:
Best Adult Elf, Best Adult Dwarf, Best Adult Hobbit
Best Youth Elf, Best Youth Dwarf, Best Youth Hobbit
Best Family Costume
Best Fellowship (group) Costume
Wild Card
