Community Day of Action - Invasive Plant Removal at Carver Park

Carver Park is being overrun by invasive plant species, mainly Honeysuckle and Wintercreeper, and we need your help! Join us on Tuesday, July 22nd, from 9 AM to 12:30 PM at the George Washington Carver Community Center and Park for a Community Day of Action.

This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with your community while learning about invasive plant species; we'll kick off the day with an educational presentation at 9 AM, followed by a hands-on project to remove these plants. Even if you can only make it for the presentation, we'd love to have you! There are only 25 spots available, and volunteers must be at least 16 years old to participate. We encourage groups and teams to sign up as well.
Please bring a water bottle, sunscreen, hat, snacks, anything to stay cool and comfortable, and a great attitude! Secure your spot by visiting https://www.ihelpchattanooga.org/need/detail/?need_id=1109912 (If you plan to attend, you MUST sign up using this link so we can have an accurate count of attendees.)
