Set Championship events are a step-up in competitive play from regularly weekly events. Prizing is limited, so expect players to travel in with meta decks. Book ahead of time with the store and make sure you buy a ticket if needed. You’ll need a 60-card, two-ink color max deck. You could be playing all day! Expect 4-7 matches played a “best-of-three”, with 55 minutes max. For 9 or more players after “Swiss” rounds, the top players go into a “top cut”. This is played as “single elimination”, aka a match loss means they’re out, a win means they progress. Only the top two players get a mat – the winner gets the one with the Champion text.
