Beth McKee remembered the “La La’s” of New Orleans, where she lived early in her career. La La’s are Creole soirées where musicians gather, friends dance, and everyone gives what they can for a common cause. McKee emulated those events and has since held more than a dozen La La’s, raising nearly $250,000 for local charities.
