Rocky Horror at the Drive-In

Join us August 16th as we screen the cult classic Rocky Horror Picture Show! Gates open at 7:00 pm. This event will be unlike any other you’ve experienced at the Highway 2 Community Drive-In Theater. We encourage all participants to come with their own chairs to sit under the screen and participate in all the chaos that is Rocky Horror Picture Show. We will be selling participation kits with everything you need to be an active audience member. This event is meant to be a place where all are welcome, regardless of your knowledge of Rocky Horror lore. Our shadow cast will lead you through the wonderful and wacky world of Frank-N-Furter, Brad, Janet, and all the gang! This event is not just a costume event (however please come dressed up); it is a dynamic live performance that fully complements the film. You are encouraged to wear costumes and use the props in the participation kits to enhance your fun. Audience interaction is key including callbacks, shouts, and throwing props like toilet paper and rice at appropriate times. Everyone will have their own unique interpretations which creates a truly vibrant and interactive experience. The concession stand will be open showcasing all your drive-in favorites including pizza, hot dogs, candy and pop and water. We will also be serving beer and wine, so please drink responsibly and make sure you have a designated driver. If you are unable to find a driver, remember you can always call our friends at the Schoolcraft County Transit Authority to ensure your safe trip home.
