August Hike of the Month

Sunday, August 3, 2025, 9 am- Moraine State Park, meeting at the parking lot under Rt 528 just north of the bridge that crosses Lake Arthur. Hike Glacier Ridge and North Country Trails. 5.5 miles, 3 hours. Highlight: lots of rocks, views of the lake in a mature deciduous forest. Directions: Take US 422 east toward the Butler exit on PA 528 north 3.1 miles to the 528 Boat Ramp on the right. You can go down to the right under the 528 bridge and meet us at the western end of the parking lot(40.952305, -80.041162). Dog Friendly. This is a difficult hike, so make sure you can hike at 2.2 mph.
