The Flora of Bean Ridge

Bean Ridge is a large tract of forest in Alexander County that is managed by the Shawnee National Forest. Extensive botanical surveys were conducted in 2018-2024 and the results of these surveys will be presented. Botanist Chris Benda will highlight some of the marvelous diversity found in this vast and remote area.
