BBQ after Church on July 27th @ 11am in Fellowship Hall and on the green. All are welcome. Guest Preacher is Rev. Taulau Tupua!

Rev. Taulau Tupua is a proud Samoan pastor, preacher, and spiritual care provider, rooted in the rich cultural blend of California. Born in San Francisco, raised between Los Angeles and the Central Valley, he’s a true California native with a heart for people, justice, and the Spirit’s leading.

Rev. Tupua earned his Master of Divinity from Claremont School of Theology, where he focused on pastoral care, prophetic preaching, and faith-based community engagement. In August, he will begin a year-long chaplain residency at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Torrance, offering spiritual care to patients, families, and staff.

He is joined in life and ministry by his beloved wife, LooLoo, and their fur baby, Chiquita—their sassy and sweet dog who keeps them laughing. When he's not preaching or caregiving, you can find Rev. Tupua cooking up his famous chicken adobo for LooLoo, vibing to oldies and island reggae, or enjoying good BBQ with good people.

He is deeply honored to worship and share the Word with Community United Methodist Church in Borrego Springs—a congregation close to his heart through seminary friendships and shared faith.
