2025 Barktober 5K & 1-Mile Walk

Join us on Saturday, October 4th for the 8th Annual Barktober 5K & 1-Mile Walk. This a favorite family fun event. Our 5K begins at 11am and our 1-Mile Walk immediately follows. Prior to the run/walk, we will have our ever popular dog and dog/human costume contest. Of course there are prizes for first, second and third place costumes. Don’t forget about the APL merchandise that will be for sale. We will also have raffle baskets and more. This year’s food trucks are Zonuts and Lattes with their delicious donuts and hot/cold coffee drinks as well as the Parked Pierogi with their home made pierogis, cabbage/noodles and more. Don’t miss out on the fun. All proceeds from our event go to the Portage APL to help the sick, injured and homeless pets of Portage County. Last year we were just under 200 people and had our largest turn out yet! Please share our event so we can surpass that goal!
