Nerve Care: Soma-Restore Workshop

Oftentimes nagging pain can be related to nerve entrapment - nerves are meant to glide in our fascia like a snake in water. However due to posture, sitting for long periods of time, stress, and other lifestyle factors, our fascia can be disorganized in a way that impedes the glide of the nerves. Our nerves are coated in a myelin sheath, which can be damaged through cortisol levels, stress, medications, autoimmune conditions, etc. Somatic yoga can help repair the myelin sheath which can result in lower pain levels, better communication between the brain and body, and improved nerve gliding.
This workshop will address nerve gliding in areas of the body including the arms/neck/shoulders, legs/feet/lower back and more. Through somatic movement, neural flossing, myofascial work, meditative awareness, breathwork, and restorative postures, we will work toward better nerve gliding. This workshop also helps the general health of nerves, even if you are not experiencing pain.
Suitable for all ability levels, beginners welcome.
