To mark International Men’s Day again this year, the SMSA is facilitating the second Scottish Men’s Shed Open Doors Day!
On the 19th November each year, we celebrate International Men’s Day and the positive value that men bring to the world, their families and communities.
So, what better way to mark this day than encourage members of the public, social prescribers, our funders, partners.. and potential new members to come along to the Shed? With the Shed doors swung wide open, this is an opportunity to reach a wide audience and show them around, tell them all about what happens at the Shed, meet other members, see activities in action and answer any questions they may have.
Participating Shed’s details will be collated here and promoted in the local and national media and on social media—and of course, through your own Shed—to encourage people in your community to attend.
Let’s empower thousands of men (our sons, brothers, fathers, uncles, grandfathers, friends and neighbours) to take control and play a massive volunteer-led part in a system change ‘for the men, by the men’ towards a wellbeing economy.
