The Blues Busters - the boys are back in town!

In 1991, a new eight piece blues and soul band band was formed in Glossop based on the soul and r n b music and images associated with the cult film classic ‘The Blues Brothers.’ Complete with a four piece brass section and wearing trilby hats and sun-glasses, The Blues Busters took the local music scene by storm quickly breaking attendance records in venues all over the north west whilst maintaining a sell out monthly residency at The Blues Club in Glossop. For the next ten years, the band played both public and private events across the country enjoying a huge following. Now for the first time in several years, The Blues Busters are back once again ready to take you all to ‘The Midnight Hour’ and beyond when they headline Empire on Friday October 3rd. This concert showcase will raise money for Cancer Research UK and in so doing will commemorate the memory of Keith Bonthrone – drummer with the band from 1994 to 2001 who sadly passed away in December last year.

Every member of the original band will be present at this event with several original members taking an active part. The concert will consist of two one hour sets with an interval in between. . A show that will feature wold famous blues, r n b and soul classics hits such as Sweet Home Chicago/ Minnie the Moocher/ Peter Gunn, Midnight Hour, Gimme some Loving, Knock on Wood and many more.
