The Woods: trad/folk music workshop arranged/led by Ron Gibson.

Join Aberdeen Folk Orchestra in “The Woods” on 4th-5th October. A fun weekend of music-making led by Ron Gibson (music composed by Hamish Napier). There will be sheet music for all traditional instruments including woodwind and brass. Amateur musicians at intermediate or above are welcome. The weekend will conclude in a free concert showcasing the music learnt. Our venue is the beautiful Phoenix Centre, Newton Dee Village, Aberdeen, AB15 9DX.

For those who can manage, prior to the weekend workshop there will be two other opportunities to run through the music. These will be on the evenings of Thursday 25th September and Thursday 2nd October at Aberdeen Folk Orchestra’s regular rehearsal venue: Hazlehead Primary School, Provost Graham Avenue, Aberdeen, AB15 8HB.
