Hello readers! Join us as we discuss Stephen Chbosky's coming of age novel, The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
The novel, written as a series of letters, tells the story of fifteen-year-old Charlie as he navigates his freshman year in a Pittsburgh suburb.
We'll be bringing snacks, and we will also be accepting gently used copies of books to share amongst the community for those that are interested, but readers aren't required to bring anything but their minds and their voices. The book has repeatedly appeared on the American Library Association's list of most banned books.
Although The Forbidden Book Club is open to readers of all ages and skill levels, this book is recommended for readers 14 and up, and does contain subject matter that could be potentially triggering to some.
We hope to see you there!
