Buck Moon Dinner and Paddle Murrells Inlet

This will be a WEATHER PERMITTING EVENT. As on all YY paddles, PFDs and whistles are required and since it will be after Sunset when we return, you should have at least a flashlight, though a headlamp with both red and white lights is recommended. A headlamp with red light wont affect your night vision or blind the person you look at. Because of the parking situation at Morse Park, I suggest we get there about 5:30 PM and park there or at the restaurant right next door. We can decide where we want to eat and should have plenty of time to socialize over a meal. The preferred time to launch will be about 7:15 PM and paddle out to Garden City Point. Once there we should still have about 45 minutes to play in the water or walk the beach before Sunset and Moonrise. Here are the pertinent data for the paddle. High tide will be 8:45 PM (we will be paddling out against the tide). Sunset is 8:29 PM, Moonrise is 8:50 PM so roughly a 3 hour event. It is important to check the Facebook page in case storms, wind, or other factors cause a last minute cancelation.
