The Rumprollers return to Jazz Tuesdays. First appearing here in 2023, the band features musicians traveling from NYC along with some of our favorites from here in the Mitten State.
The original Rumprollers were formed in 1987, founded by drummer/composer and Flint, Michigan native, Mark Holen.
The band performs a mix of Cumbia/Salsa, New Orleans R&B, Latin Boogaloo and rock and roll.
Holen has assembled a new edition of the Rumprollers including pianist Arlene McDaniel, trumpeter Paul Finkbeiner, conguero Steve Morris, saxophonist David Huber, and bassist Pete Ostle.
Jazz Tuesdays is sponsored by Gregg Hill and Cold Plunge Records, and Law Office of Trent Harris. Our house piano is graciously provided by Casio Music USA. Thank you also to Moriarty's Pub for making a home for jazz in Michigan's capital city since 2014.
