Acclaimed Edinburgh-based singer Lorna Reid makes her debut at Edinburgh Jazz and Jive Club, performing with a stellar line up Scotland's finest musicians, including Campbell Normand (piano), Andy Mitchell (bass) and Jim Drummond (drums) plus sax.
The band will perform a swinging American Songbook repertoire, plus a few original songs inspired by this classic genre. Lorna has toured widely including representing Scotland at Rochester NY International Jazz Festival and is appearing later in the year at the London Jazz Festival.
The Edinburgh Jazz 'n Jive Club offers on Fridays live Jazz music in a relaxed club house atmosphere, with a bar and an excellent, wooden dance floor. The music is generally suitable for dancing Foxtrot and Swing (Lindy Hop, Shag, Balboa). Come along to listen to superb Jazz and to dance the evening away!
No need to book in advance, just come along! The entry fee is £12 for non-members and £10 for members. Entry is free for accompanying carers and accompanied children. The fee can be paid at the door by card and cash. The main entrance is from Bangholm Terrace, with step-free access from Warriston Gardens corner Inverleith Row.
