The History Center invites the community to join in on ORAL HISTORIES LIVE! offering interviews with influential members of Linn County who share their stories and preserve legacies.
Dale has served on more than 40 Commissions, Boards, Planning Groups and Task Forces and has belonged to a host of service clubs and community organizations. Many of these focus exclusively on improving the quality of life in our community. Today Dale continues his passion for urban planning, neighborhood development and recreation by championing innovative projects such as the revitalization of Cedar Lake and the development of housing, trails and public spaces throughout our city. He was one of the early leaders of the Wellington Heights Neighborhood Association in the late 90s and worked with neighborhood groups throughout the community to stabilize their neighborhoods and decrease crime. He is also passionate about helping people with disabilities and serves on numerous state and national epilepsy-related boards and organizations and is a past chair of the Iowa Commission on Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities.
Admission is $8.00 General Public, $6.00 Members
