Anise Russow is a 19 year old Toronto-based jazz and soul vocalist recognized for her rich, expressive voice and dynamic stage presence. Originally from Victoria, BC, Anise was performing consistently throughout the city at only 13 years old. Over the span of those 6 years, she has been performing throughout Vancouver Island in groups such as the West Coast Soul Collective, Groove Kitchen, the Vic High R&B Band, the Midnights, and her own project Soul Intention. Her genre versatility has led her to notable stages across both Victoria and Toronto, including appearances at the TD Victoria International JazzFest (2019, 2023, 2025), the Toronto Undergraduate JazzFest (2024), and many more.
With a passion for musical storytelling, the Anise Russow Quartet is guaranteed to create a warm, collaborative, and immersive atmosphere for audiences in any setting. Joined by Thomas Andersen on piano, Matisse Gubby-Hurtig on bass, and Miles Fuller on drums, they will present an evening of jazz standards and original compositions.
