Join the Nature Museum and Kelly Stettner of the Black River Action Team (BRAT) as we learn about one of the world’s most amazing miniature fliers, dragonflies! We’ll discover more about the basics of dragonflies, their importance to the ecosystem, and how we may observe them in our local environments. This will be a hands-on learning experience as we’ll be doing identification and species inventorying to get up close and personal with these magnificent insects in all stages of their lives, from aquatic larvae through shed exoskeletons and hopefully some flying adults!

This event will take place at a local Grafton property nearby historic Howeville and Mollie Beattie State Forest. Please park near the front gate of Mollie Beattie State Forest (214 Grafton State Forest Rd, Grafton, VT 05146) and look for Nature Museum staff person. Parking is limited and you must park on the right side of the road with enough room for emergency vehicles to get through! This event will occur rain or shine and be all outdoors.

Registration is requested, and participation is by sliding-scale donation. Learn more & register here: https://www.nature-museum.org/upcoming-events-full/dragonfly-discovery
