Tango & More is looking forward to welcome you again in the historical Fort Lent, on Sunday 3. August, during the 2025 edition of the Summerdaze festivalito!
𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐋𝐞𝐧𝐭
Fort Lent is located where the mighty river Waal enters and meanders through Nijmegen's beautiful landscape. It was originally built to defend the railway bridge and thus the connection between north and south. The Fort has been restored and transformed into an authentic venue for events; we use the two large, connected halls: one for socializing and enjoying your drinks and food, the second one with a smooth floor for delightful dancing.
This venue perfectly fits the mission of Tango & More: facilitating and celebrating the connection between people, tradition and modernity, diversity and inclusivity, by dancing to tango music (and more). From the roof terrace you can enjoy a scenic view on the river Waal and Nijmegen's landscape, and maybe even a 'vanilla sky' sunset in the final hour...
𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜
Tango & More founder and DJ / music selector Jack will play an eclectic, structured (TTVTTM) mix of 3-track tandas (and silent cortinas), with traditional tango, tango nuevo, modern tango, and also inspiring and sometimes surprising neo- and non-tango music (50/50). Experiencing all the different emotions, moods and attitudes of the music- in a meandering flow, like the river Waal - creates an open, relaxed and social ambiance with a real party vibe.
𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝
The bar serves a wide range of beverages and hot and cold drinks. You can use your included coin for a free drink. More drinks can be by paid by cash or card.
Besides finger food, a selection of tasty mediterranean style dishes and soup – vegan and non-vegan - will be available at very reasonable prices (by card or cash), mainly from 18.00-20.00; fresh and homemade by our own foodie-milongueras.
Please respect the venue: do not bring your own food and drinks.
