Old Time Music Jam!

This learning jam incorporates a brief overview of the old time/Appalachian stringband style of music, followed by an open jam. Feel free to join in or grab a tea or cider, and just listen and enjoy!
We welcome guitar, banjo, violin/fiddle, mandolin, double bass, and uke players of any skill level. (Chord instruments: If you can play an A, C, D and G chord, you will be fine!) Tunes are introduced at a slow speed and then we play at a moderate tempo.
The jam is free, but we encourage you to patronize our hosts at the bar. Wayside has both drinks and food.

FIDDLE/BANJO/MANDOLIN PLAYERS:
Join us before the jam at 2pm for a 45-minute workshop. We’ll take a tune and learn the melody by ear phrase by phrase, talking through the notes as well as the style. The fee is $20 via cash or PayPal at the door.
