Friday, August 8th:
9:00 PM - 1:00 AM or later - Latin Dance Social: DR Meets Cuba

This social is designed to highlight cultural dance music from the birthplaces of what we know as bachata and salsa--the Dominican Republic and Cuba! Come out, meet the artists, and enjoy music by DJ Cokie and DJ Siix all night!

Saturday, August 9th:

12:00 PM - Partner Work: From Merengue to Bachata - Open Level (1.5 hr)

This is one of the artists’ most highly requested workshops, designed to help us understand how elements of merengue—the national dance of the Dominican Republic—have influenced bachata and how those elements translate to our bachata dancing! This workshop is a bit longer as it incorporates both theory and practice. No partner required.

1:30 PM - Partner Work: The Language of the Hands and Connection - Open Level (1 hr)

This workshop will have your bachata feeling and looking good on the social dance floor. Learn dynamic partner work patterns while refining how you communicate through your hands and connection! No partner required.

2:30 - 3:30 PM - Break

3:30 PM - Footwork: Syncopations and Style - Intermediate (1 hr)

This solo class will teach you how to not only find your own style, but also how to incorporate syncopations into your bachata dancing. While the other workshops are open to all levels of dancers, this one will cater to the intermediate level. No partner required.
