Septober Energy invites you to an evening of high-frequency celebration, sonic ritual, and cultural solidarity as we rally support for one of our core collaborators, Naledi, who has been selected for a prestigious artist residency in New York this November. This event is more than a party—it’s a tactical gathering to fuel the international phase of Naledi’s creative journey, building on a practice rooted in ancestral technology, spiritual inquiry, and Black feminist praxis. Naledi’s work has been central to the sound-based research, counter-narrative media, and experimental pedagogy that define Septober’s mission. Their selection for the Reforesters Laboratory Sound Clinic in New York marks a critical moment not just for Naledi, but for our entire ecosystem. We’re turning up at African Freedom Station, a historic outpost of resistance and imagination in Sophiatown. Expect an all-star lineup featuring the extended Septober family—DJs, performers, and sonic disruptors who've shaped the movement from day one. All funds raised on the night go toward travel, accommodation, visa, and living costs for the duration of the residency.
