Walk from Heeze castle to the sheep pen

This walk will take us to Heeze Castle and we continue to the “Herbertus” forest. After crossing a small brook, the “Reeloop”, we will leave the forest along the edge of the heath “Strabrechtse heide”. The heath will flower in August and September in beautiful purple colors. Next we come to a junction where the group can split in a longer walk over the heath and a shorter walk, recommended for children, that leads directly to the Heide Café. At the Heide Café we wait till the group is complete again before returning to Heeze.

This 2.5 hour round walk's starting point is next to café De Zwaan, at the gates to Heeze castle, Kapelstraat 23, 5591 HC Heeze. We start at 14:00 and will return to the café “De Zwaan” around 16:30.

There is a café at the half-way point, Heide café, where we will stop for refreshment.

Please note that the walks are easy going and you don’t need special equipment.
