Join us at Hill Beach on McIvor Lake (family beach at the far end of McIvor Lake Road) for a day of fun to celebrate National Drowning Prevention Week! Activities for kids include face painting, a slip n slide, the PEG, giant beach balls, scavenger hunts, and more!
We have invited our partners at the City of Campbell River, Campbell River RCMP, the Campbell River Search and Rescue Society, and BC Emergency Health Services to join us in teaching water smart skills in, on, and around the water. Stop by the Strathcona Gardens booth at McIvor Lake to sign up for a free one-on-one swim session in the lake with our lifeguards or to get information about our Lifesaving Society learn to swim programs and certification courses.
Transportation will be provided to and from our McIvor Lake event from the Sportsplex at 10:45am and Strathcona Gardens Recreation Complex at 1pm on July 21. See strathconagardens.com/swimbus for more details and book in advance for a ride on our bus by calling our front desk starting July 14.
