Creative Collage with Marian Tagliarino

ollage is an art form made from overlapping pieces of materials like photos, fabric, and paper. It involves selecting, cutting, arranging, and gluing these materials onto a surface. Unlike painting or sculpture, which need advanced skills, the art of collage is in the choosing and arranging of materials. The word ‘collage’ comes from the French word ‘coller,’ meaning ‘to glue.’

Join me in a journey of art and play as we create through collage your individual artwork. No previous experience necessary. Let your thoughts, feelings and creative juices flow! I encourage you to bring the following to possibly incorporate into your piece:

any small memorabilia, photos

scraps of fabric etc.

writings i.e. a letter, notes etc. ( or copies)

And…. if you have a favorite pair of scissors.

8″ x 10″ mat boards, glue, scissors, and lots of materials will be provided.

All Materials will be provided. Students are encouraged to bring any material items they want to include in their collages.
