Mindful Core: Soma-Restore Workshop

A strong core is so much more than six pack abs which are superficial in nature, and do not necessarily represent internal strength and stability. In fact, deeper more internal core is far more important to our lower back health, posture, breathing, digestion, etc. Weakness in the deep core muscles often lead to compensation patterns in other areas of the body. In this workshop, we take a mindful approach to working with our core sheath - a line of fascia that includes the pelvic floor, psoas, diaphragm, in addition to deep core muscles. Through somatic movement, mindful awareness, breath work and bandhas, learn to address imbalances in your deep core. We will conclude with myofascial work and restoratives to relax the core, which is equally important.
