Jade Lake backpacking

This will be a 2 night backpacking trip and is open to anyone who can only come for 1 night. This is a hard hike so please know your ability. There are two ways to get to Jade lake. We will be entering the trailhead from the Ronald WA. The road to the trailhead changes from pavement to gravel for several miles. The road in is full of potholes so be careful.
Northwest Forest Pass is required for vehicles left at the trailhead. We will meet at the trailhead at 7 AM and begin promptly. All participants must register at the trailhead prior to hitting the trail… well behaved dogs are welcomed and are required to be on leash. You will need a bear can or bear bag and rope to hang your food.
Leave no trace behind… pack out what you pack in. There is a vault toilet with an amazing view of lake, toilet luxuries are not provided. We will most likely hike up to Dip top gap so you will need micro spikes to ascend via the glacier. The trailhead parking lot is very small so carpooling is encouraged. This is an Alpine lake so prepare for any form of weather.
