Deacons of Dixieland at Shy Bear

The Deacons of Dixieland are a 7-piece traditional jazz band from Central Pennsylvania. They have been supplying lively entertainment for concerts, festivals, community parks, retirement homes, clubs, and tailgate parties at Penn State football games since 1988. The Deacons play a broad range of traditional jazz music, including classic Dixieland selections, blues, and
country music in a Dixieland style. The current crop of Deacons includes musicians from many historically popular local bands. You can't help but clap your hands, tap your feet, and smile along with their music!
