Forests & Streams with the Westmoreland Land Trust

Join us in welcoming back the Westmoreland Land Trust for a fun, hands-on family program all about Pennsylvania’s forests and streams!
Discover woodland creatures through songs and stories, investigate fascinating invertebrates, and learn what tree rings (or “tree cookies”) can tell us about a tree’s life.
We'll also explore the role of bugs, slugs, and fungi in keeping forests healthy—then create beautiful watercolor leaf prints to take home.
Don’t forget to check out a Westmoreland Nature Backpack and keep the adventure going at home!
Registration is not required — seats are first come, first served!
Suggested for ages 4-11.
This visit was made possible thanks to the Valley School of Ligonier, who generously funded the program.
Check the library's events calendar for more free programming: https://ligonierlibrary.org/events
