Explore making a funky and functional ring dish out of clay! Students will be led step by step on how to create a ring dish using hand-building techniques. After creating the ring dishes, students will have the opportunity to paint their pieces with colored slips or underglazes. All pieces will be fired and glazed to turn into functional ceramics!

⏰ Time: 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
📍 Location: Beyond Pottery, Burlington, ON
👩🏫 Instructor: Lauren Sinett
👥 Suitable for: Complete beginners—no prior experience needed.
🎨 Includes: Clay, tools, glazes, and kiln firings
What You’ll Learn:
✔️ Basic clay hand-building techniques
✔️ About the different applications of finishing materials like
colored slips, underglazes, and glazes
✔️ About the firing process
Who Can Join? This workshop is perfect for complete beginners, aged 18 and up. For younger participants, reach out to inquire about teen and children’s courses.
Pro Tips for Success:
✨ Avoid wearing jewelry or having long nails—they can get in the way
✨ Bring an apron or an old t-shirt and a towel
Pick-Up Information: Your pieces will typically be fired during the course. You can collect finished works during sessions or after the course ends. We’ll notify you by email when everything is ready.
